We got there on Saturday at 1pm ordered our meals it took 45 minutes to get our starters at 3pm we still did not have our mains we eventually got our mains at 3.30 after making a complaint we were offered free desserts the food was really nice except for the treacle pudding which was so hard inside it was not edible very disappointing experience more so as it was my elderly dad's birthday
This place is much improved after a refurbishment. I go here to watch Premier League games as there are large screens and TVs all around so you can watch the game from anywhere. Menu is extensive and offers great value food for the family which is all freshly cooked to order. Staff are usually friendly , outdoor seating is great when it's warm and there is a decent sized car park too. Good selection of beer and wine. Pool table as well. THERE ARE CLEAR SIGNS ON THE DOOR TO ADD YOUR CAR REGISTRATION TO THE MACHINE AND DISPLAY A TICKET. There's no excuse to get a parking fine. This pub is close to the station so this system stops commuters from parking there all day.
A lovely local pub but the manager who was on this night was so incredibly rude- I was shouted at by him for standing aside and letting people leave because he thought I was trying to "steal a table". Get rid of him and this place would be perfect!
Used to be a great family place to go. Now been told that they are changing to be child tolerant. Basically if you have small children this is not the best place to come.Service is extremely slow over and hour wait for food on now 3 different occasions.
Great for watching sports with 2 huge televisions showing sky sports and BT sports. Large range of booze and the menu has a large variety. Bar staff are always friends and helpful and quiz night is always a blast. But 3 stars because unfortunately the manager is rather rude. I get it can be busy and hard work but if you can't be polite to your customers then you're in the wrong business pal.
