I have nothing but praise for YourVets at Rayleigh, got lost getting here the first time but once I found the place I never looked back, the staff are really friendly, always full of advice and guidance and so compassionate with people who are suffering. Our dog Jack has visited on several occasions for serious matters and minor complaints, always treated appropriately and proportionately, I have been to many vets in the past and always felt like I'd been fleeced, I know there is no price to put on a pet's welfare but some vets seem to pull figures out of thin air when the bill comes, this place is nothing like that, very open and honest about pricing and always happy to discuss your concerns!I have also recommended the vets here to several of my friends and colleagues, all reported back that they were impressed with the service. The practice is a little over 10 miles from my house and I pass several other vets to get there but I always do so with a smile on my face knowing that my pet will benefit from the care here more than he would at any of the places I passed along the way!

Took my 4 month old Chiuahaha puppy to get his nails cut, had been 4 weeks prior and he was in and out perfect no issues..this time a young girl took him out the back and you could hear nothing but him squealing and panicking for about 5 minutes. Was then called into a separate room by one of the girls and was told that my little dog has behaviour issues and that he needs to be kept an eye on as his behaviour is a concern..she said they were trying to put a muzzle on him and he was biting them while doing it (which Im not surprised hes never had a muzzle on and has never needed one).It gets worse..we got in the car to then realise that the puppy has red blood bruises under his arm which WERE NOT there before..hes a tiny dog, that does not need to be held down with such force to give him bruises!!! If they would have came and asked us to hold him he would have to calm him down. Not impressed and are now looking at other options on where to take my puppy..hes due for a castration and Im not confident with leaving him in their care now..

Great all round veterinary practice ...extremely professional and compassionate. I recently had to have my beloved Staffie of 14yrs 8mths put to sleep and I couldn't praise them anymore for the way they handled the situation from arriving with a seriously poorly boy right through to the inevitable and after and following day was able to collect a paw print on the inside of a bereavement card and also some of his fur. Left there a bit more at ease knowing they were looking after him until he was picked up for his cremation.

After much deliberation and many tears, we booked an appointment for a Vet to attend our property and euthanize one of our dogs. The appointment was planned for 1pm. As you can appreciate, anxiety levels were very high. The Vet(s) did not turn up until some 65 minutes later! We only received a phone call 45 minutes after they were due, explaining they were running late! Under the circumstances, I would have expected an immediate call, this was after all, one of our much loved pets we were having to say goodbye to. No care or consideration for our pet, not to mention us! I can only describe this experience as a scene from 'The Green Mile'. The sedative started to wear off before the Vet(s) could find a vein to administer the lethal injection. Our pet was put through a horrific last hour of his life due to lack of experience - at one point, they were over-heard to say "shall we call another Vet out?" They clearly did not know what they were doing. Not only are we devastated at losing one of our pets, we have been left with a traumatic memory of his last moments with us.

Great staff wonderful vets, always pleased how they have treated my dogs. They aren't expensive either. I have used them for about five years. Even emergency visits, lovely people.
