An odd location, but served our needs for returning a one-way rental from Southampton.
Terrible service. I have now been let down twice. 1st incident involved a car being delivered to my home address 1 day late and after I had already left for my destination. 2nd incident was downgrading my booking from class C do B. 4 adults and luggage in a Vauxhall Corsa does not work. To make things worse I wasn't pre-warned so had no time to make alternative arrangements.
just spoke to Gillian at the Basildon branch said we could NOT hire an 8 seater vehicle on Friday 14.8.18 and return to the same venue the next morning!!!!!
Nice helpful people didn't take long to pick up a car. Have got a weeks hire so hopefully will be as simple and straight forward when it comes to returns.
I'll never use HERTZ again. These guys are a joke and when I phoned the customer service line I spoke to an objectionable and rude women. The site has changed and is now located at a scrap metal type industrial estate in Rayleigh over 20 minutes away. There were still HERTZ signs at the entrance to the Noble Square site, though nothing at unit 4 saying that they have moved. When I turned up at Rayleigh there was a disgusting mobile hut for an office and one car available - a bloody skoda. The whole reason i booked with HERTZ was I believed I was dealing with a reputable, professional and well run company. From this experience, HERTZ is far from this...use another company this lot are a joke.
